| It's been almost a year since I've written on xanga. That's wild. So much has changed...it's crazy to think of the things that have stayed the same. What's even weirder is thinking of the things I miss now, and realizing that they were once things I hated. Or things I didn't even think about. You know what's crazy? How I never really document the awesome times in my life--like this past summer. Maybe it's better that way though. You'd rather remember the memory how you really want to rather than read the stupid stuff you wrote thinking it was important at the time. or maybe you really just remember the feelings, and the actions don't matter as much... Why is xanga always so nostalgic? I guess it was the same for livejournal back in the day... Well xanga, maybe I'll see you next December. Hopefully before then. It's good to keep in touch... **edit** It's been, like, 2 minutes. I've read two old blogs. And I already feel like crying. This is the most nostalgia that I have felt in a long time. It is almost midnight, and I get really emotional when I'm tired. But I think this is a good thing. It makes me remember all the good things. Some of the bad. | Although I thought it was a better show last year, this year was still amazing! New Song was awesome and their song "Rescue" is amazing! I wanted to get the RESCUE hoodie, but it was $35, so i just got a New Song hoodie instead. But yeah, they had lyrics up on the screen and everyone was singing. It was amazing! Sanctus Real and Hawk Nelson were totally sweet of course. Steven Curtis Chapman and The Following were so cool and upbeat, and I swear about 1213861298635298653984 peopl fainted when Jeremy Camp started playing! Man, if you have never gone to Winter Jam, you totally need to go. It rocked. <333333 | | |
| Most likely along with everyone else, I abhor the fact that we go back to school tomorrow. I really missed reading and I got to read three great books over break: Twilight, New Moon, and Alas,Babylon. I think I'll read the Martian Chronicles next. Thank you, Michael, for chucking it into my locker two years ago. haha. Of course, I'll probably never get time to read it. We haven't read one book in AP Language. Just the little essays in "Patterns for College Writing," which never sustain your thirst for a good book if you're an avid reader. I like reading because it makes me think. Isn't that what education is supposed to be about? We're supposed to start reading, too. At least he says we are. Lord, I hope it's soon. And I hope it's good. ah, well, that's the longest thing I've written with decent content in awhile. Hope you had good times over the holidays. -r- | | |
